Bolder Boulder 2011

The Weaver's had another great showing today at the Bolder Boulder! The results are in and they are as follows...

Adin Weaver- NEW PR at 1:08:34!
Preston Weaver- New PR at 53:30!
Connor Weaver- New PR at 37:16 and defends his title as fastest in his age group!
Me- NOT a PR, but ok for 40 at 39:06 (8th in his age group)!
Mia Weaver- Excellent support and DID NOT complain (much) about her long walk!
Alyson Weaver- Once again up early for yet another race!

Adin is 9!

During church today Adin made his schedule for his birthday! So far, he's right on schedule! We're having steak and shrimp for his birthday feast tonight (perfect for the Boulder Bolder tomorrow!). This kid is a lot of fun, even at 9!

Today was a lot of fun for us! This was Connor's first REAL triathlon against the big boys and he came out awesome! He had the 2nd fastest run OVERALL! If he improves his transition's he'll really kill it. He had faster bike and run splits than the 2 guys that beat him. They only beat him in the swim and transition times! He almost beat me! I'm not sure how much longer I can hold him off though!

Only son in law becomes mastermind

Draper Ut/ SLC Ut. It was just announced that Jason Richards has been promoted to the "MASTER of the Universe" no, no, no, MASTER ARTIST for Disney SLC. This is an amazing credential and a sign of respect for his talents. This not only results in recognition of his contributions, ability, perseverance, but also increases his wages. Be it known that we are all very proud of the new title and promotion. When queried on how he should be recognized, Jason responded, "you all can just call me 'Master!' ".

Way to go and also Happy Birthday on Wednesday. We have grown weary of always forgetting until after it is over, so we decided to do it a couple of days early to make up for past sins.

Ordination

It looks like I am going to ordain Preston as a Deacon on August 7th. I know that this is the Sunday after the reunion and we do not expect everyone to be there, but we wanted to let you all know now just in case.

U2

I took the boys to see U2 last night. It was awesome! I don't really have any good pictures from U2 because it was impossible to get any. This shows their stage though and that's the Fray rocking!

Problems with the Grizz?

Both Cami and Nori have alerted me about problems posting to this blog. I am not able to identify any problems, and I haven't changed anything, so I don't know what's going on. I did delete Cami as an author and then "reinvited" her.... did this work, Cam?

Nori, to answer your question about Blogger requesting your phone number, I think that is just a new security measure from Google, in case you need to reset your account (lost your password, etc.)

One other thing to try is "clearing the cache" on your computer.

Let me know if you are still having problems. Sorry, I don't know why it has been difficult for you, but I don't view any problems on my end.

Little Brother's Revenge

I found Luke with a tear-stained face drawing this picture yesterday afternoon when he felt left out by Reid and their buddy Ben. This picture is a remarkably accurate drawing of Reid & Ethan's bedroom, with Reid and Ben playing above the beds in the "Lego Loft." The elements that make this picture hilarious; Reid & Ben's faces (extremely dorky); the unicorn on Reid's Tshirt and the rainbow on his bed, that according to Luke, represent "girly stuff." The masculine elements (dinosaurs) on Ethan's side of the room indicate to us that he is in Luke's good graces.
