Weaver Saturday!

Mia started her dance class yesterday! Ethan and Reid spent the night and wanted to get in the hot tub, but the hot tub isn't working right now. Adin told a little lie that Dad had said, "We can swim in the pond since the hot tub doesn't work!" So, they all hopped in the pond and were trying to catch the fish. Mia pee'd her pants so she just took them off and jumped on the trampoline "Au natural." And, Connor and Preston entertained the Chik-Fil-A customers with their piano music.

Little heavenly reminders...

Reid, Luke and I were eating lunch at the kitchen table just now, and I read a letter from my Grandpa Reid that made me teary-eyed, thinking about my Grandma Sue. Reid and I were talking about Grandma Sue, and then he mentioned Timmy and Tyson. Luke piped in, "Tyson is happy." Wondering if he really knew what he was saying, I asked, "Where is Tyson?" And Luke said, "In heaven." I'm glad we have these little angels to remind us of simple truths that sometimes seem hard to remember.

Another year and 30 gone!! Happy Day Derek

Happy birthday Derek. I am so proud of my family and all you do in your lives. I have many good memories and am amazed that 30 years have passed. Are you sure it is 30 already?

Unfortunately the good doctor is working enough hours to have retired already and we do not see enough of him. Hopefully you will get a day off and can enjoy the transitory years. Love dad:)

The Princess Still Reigns!

Mia has been posing recently...

Another Milestone!

Connor did have a Birthday on Friday. Cami made a great post, but Connor wasn't very fond of the picture. I took him and his best friends out on the lake for some water skiing, wake-boarding and tubing. They had a blast. We came home, had some pizza and then opened his gifts. I got him a compound bow. Kind of a strange gift. The Stewart's are big bow hunters and I have become intrigued with bow hunting. It is a tough skill to learn. Connor wanted a .22, but I didn't really want to get him one. The opportunities for using a gun to practice with around here are little to none. A bow can be used in our gulch and he can take it to his grandparents as well. I got me a bow too! It's already been a lot fun learning how to use it.

The big day came on Sunday when Connor was ordained as a deacon! It was a very spiritual day for Connor. I'm so proud of him. Grandpa's Stewart and Weaver, myself, and his Uncle Darin stood in his circle. I could tell that the Spirit really touched him. He then had the opportunity to pass the sacrament. It was Ward Conference so he passed to our Stake President for his very first time. He did great! He was also the best dressed deacon up there. He looked like a little missionary in his white shirt and tie. We had a lot of compliments from members of the ward on how mature he is and how sharp of a young man he is! We sure are proud of him. We didn't get any pictures that day though! We'll do it next Sunday when he's all dressed up again.

Surprise guest speaker at Fort Collins Stake Conf.

Insider information just revealed that there was a famous inpromptu speaker at the recent Fort Collins Stake conference. She is much respected for her testimony and commitment to the Gospel. Unfortunately her humility prevented her from sharing this experience with the outside world. On accident the event was leaked by a near stranger the world should now be notified that our own Brittany is the much hearalded individual of renown. YEAH!!!!

THREE YEARS IN HEAVEN!!!

I cannot believe how the time has flown. I look at my "little Alec", knowing that Mom uses him as gauge of the time that has past, and he is not so little anymore. Three years without our Tyson and one without Tim, yet it seems like just a blink of an eye, or two. This is a day to reflect, ponder and remember. Our prayers are with all of you, especially Mom and Dad, as their grief far surpasses the rest of us. We can only hope to live a life that will allow is to be together again.

Happy third year in Heaven, uncle Tyson.
We love you!!!
For the rest of us, we hope you can have a wonderful day
remembering and celebrating our precious Tyson.
All our Love....The Richards

TYSON!

I could only get these pics of Tyson because I'm at work. These are from Tim's group of pics, but I still like them.

Remember the hot tub!
Just thinking about Tyson today. I can't believe it's already been 3 years. Hope everyone is doing well. A big head-butt to all of you!

Happy Monday!

Here are a few shots from when we dog-sat Maggie at the beginning of August, when Fred & Nori were in Utah for Hannah's baptism. Although Maggie caused some stress for the boys (and alleviated some stress from me) by motivating them to put their toys away so she wouldn't chew them up, they had a lot of fun with her, too. They even began acting like dogs.

OOPS

I guess you don't get your picture taken on the first day of school anymore...We never did take pictures of Shelby and Hannah. This was the day I was trying to get out of the house for education week and i guess I was too busy worrying about...ME! Here are PJ and Alec on their first days...

Birthday Boy!!

A few pictures of Alec at his third birthday party at Kangaroo Zoo...

Happy Labor Day!

We had a great time with the Little Weavers on Labor Day. But let it be said that it's just not as much fun without Derek there, too. :( (He had to work Sunday and Monday.)

Reid and Luke, loving the pre-school life

Just a few months early for Halloween.... these guys LOVE to dress up lately!

Ethan's First Day of First Grade

Ethan was rearing to go on his first day of school!
How short-lived that was... this morning, I had to drag him out of bed, while he complained that he didn't understand why his cousins couldn't have stayed longer and why he couldn't have a "break" from school-- one day off of school wasn't enough.

Deleting accumulating email and scrubbing blood stains

So Adam gave me a hard time yesterday for not posting anything for a while, and rightfully so. But in my defense, here is an example of what I've been spending my time doing:

As I was deleting some of my 268 email messages that have been neglected in my inbox for quite some time now, Reid and Luke were playing with blocks in the family room. They had been getting along well when all of a sudden I heard Luke scream out in a painful cry. I ran downstairs to find Reid already begin to blubber excuses, and I asked him if he hurt Luke. He admitted that he bit Luke because Luke took some of his blocks. I immediately sent Reid up to his room while I sat on the couch to comfort Luke, whose lips were turning purple because he was crying so hard. Reid had thrown his head back in a tantrum cry, and apparently had his eyes closed because he walked straight into a wall. I wasn't very sympathetic to the little perpetrator, and told him to continue up to his room. Finally, as Luke began to calm down, I heard Reid still crying at the top of the stairs, so I went to see why he wasn't in his room. From the bottom of the stairs I saw Reid's face covered in blood with a bandage haphazardly stuck below his nose. If the sight wasn't so alarming it would have been kind of funny-- Reid tried to remedy his bleeding nose like he does with any bump, bruise, or scratch-- with a band-aid. So I proceded to comfort him, clean him up, remind him that none of this would have happened if he hadn't lost his temper with Luke, and then got to work on cleaning the carpet-- white carpet, mind you. I think every stair had at least one drop of blood on it.

So as you can see, I haven't taken time to post blog pictures because I have much more entertaining things to do. :)

The Weaver's Start School

So, here are some pics of our kids as they started school. They actually started on Aug. 15th, but we're just now downloading their cute pics. Adin started kindergarten this year and loves it! Preston is a big 3rd grader and Connor has his own locker and is in middle school at 6th grade.
