Our Halloween Costumes for Trunk or Treat

Alyson was playing a photographer for her costume so you can't see her, but (as if you can't guess) I am a serious rock star (tats and all), Connor is a gangster, Preston is the King of Pop!, Adin is Jinga Fett (I think) and Mia is, of course, is the beautiful Princess Ariel!

It's that time again!

Christmas craft time. Derek's favorite time of year. If you would like
your pet featured on the annual family calendar, please email me their
photo, name, and birthdate (approximate is fine-- let me know how old
they will be turning!) Now that we are slowing down on baby production
we may as well include our canines, felines, rodents, reptiles ;)
Maybe I should just do a pet calendar. Derek would really love that.

By the way, I would need these by Saturday. I'm trying to submit the calendar by then.

(Not even) 5 minutes of fame

Do you find it ironic at all that the doctor's wife is the one saying "I care about having a doctor who knows me and my family..."?

Watch carefully, you'll even get a close up shot of my expanding belly. :)

Jane was a great little patient (especially when she realized she wasn't GETTING shots, the photographer was just TAKING shots.

Will the "real" Dracula please stand up!

The Finished Product!
...Alec off to school for the Halloween Party
(we won't talk about the clean-up that took place later on!)
(...real craft paint!)

Combo Costumes

The kids plunged into the Halloween boxes this evening-- here are the
costumes they concocted: a grim reaper-pirate-prisoner; a Pocahontas-
witch-hula dancer; a super-hero-race-car-driver-jaguar-jailer. Why did we even
bother with new costumes for Halloween this year?

Took One for the Team!

We ALL dressed up and partied with the Lemon's tonight at their annual Halloween Party! Everyone had a great time. Alec, especially has made some really good friends! Quick shot of all the cute costumes. Paige and Shelby tied for "BEST COSTUME" and each took home $5!
Presenting: Dracula, the Queen of Hearts, the cutest Hockus Pockus Witch ever, and Ummmm, well...Shelby, in pain! :o)

Great idea, Britt...you rock!

32 weeks along...

I finally got an official ultrasound (I guess the 2 done by Dr. Daddy
don't count) and confirmed that Baby Joe, as the kids have been
calling him, is indeed a boy. I think he looks like Ethan. Coming
sometime around 12/11/10. Ooh, I just realized that would be a really
cool birthdate.

Timmy's Birthday!

Tim would have been 30 today. Unbelievable. I always remember Timmy for his loving personality! I guarantee he's making Tyson and other's smile all the time!

Hawaii 2010

On Alii drive before the race with my entire support crew! I wouldn't even be here if weren't for these people!
Crossing the finish line on Alii Drive for the Ironman World Championship is such an amazing experience! Just up the road here I started bawling when I saw my awesome family! Once again, my family and Tyson and Timmy served as such an inspiration for me to get to this! I wish that everyone could experience the joy you feel when you get to this line and your family is all right there for you! It's phenomenal!
I can't help but think of this being Mom and Dad with Tyson and Timmy one day! Thank you soooo much for being there for me!
WOW, these are literally my favorite people in the entire world!
Almost exactly 24 hours after finishing the Ironman, we were on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world watching the sunset! I sure love these guys! They got to have a lot of fun after supporting me on my race!
We had soooo much fun on these waterslides and this "scary canyon" that Mia absolutely loved at the Grand Wailea!
The hole on the beach that the kids made (the Grand Wailea is in the background)
Our family at the Grand Wailea on Maui. There is no better vacation spot for a family than this resort!
The temple on O'ahu on our way to the polynesian culture center
The rainbow we saw right next to Jameson's by the sea on O'ahu!
Another beautiful sunset from Ko Olina on O'ahu! The sun literally set as we were positioning for this picture!
The kids on our last day on Waikiki Beach!

We wish you could have all been with us in Hawaii! It was AWESOME! The Ironman was amazing! Once again, I had to reach deep to pull out of a terrible wall that I hit in the marathon, but knowing my family was all there pushed me. Tyson and Timmy were serving to push me as well, I can't believe how many times they pop into my mind during my worst of times. After the race, we went to Maui where we paddle-boarded, body-boarded, snorkeled, scuba dove, swam, went down water slides, did a rope swing (a lot), sat by the pool reading, ate, went to the spa, ran (Connor only), dug in the sand, drank smoothies by the pool out of a pineapple, and just had a ton of fun! Next, we went to O'ahu and saw the show at the Polynesian Culture Center, saw the temple, surfed the North Shore, body-boarded some more, played in the sand some more, swam, snorkeled, read on the beach and poolside, ate, played "marco polo" in the pool, ate more poolside, saw pearl harbor, walked on Waikiki beach and had another Hawaiian shaved ice, and finally had to come home. I can't believe how amazing this vacation was! It was really hard to leave such a paradise and return. But, now we're back and I'm still on Hawaiian time, but have to get up on Colorado time!
