Big Day for Preston!

We wish that the whole family could have been here, but know how life is. Preston turned 8 yesterday! He had a great birthday (he got that beautiful red bike you see above), but today was even better. Preston was baptized and then he got to play with some of his cousins. Both grandparents gave great talks and after the baptism, we ate a lot of great food!

Happy Birthday, Shelby! (Belated!)

Shelby triumphantly eating her sardines!

Shelby,

I hope you know how much we love you, and I hope your birthday on Friday was great! Happy Double Digits!
love, Brittany

Happy Pioneer Day!

This would be the perfect Christmas card picture, if only Derek was here.

It was taken at Fred & Nori's ward pioneer day party.

(I won't steal their thunder by posting theirs, too. I'll let them do that at their discretion!)

The expressions on our faces tell you how Ethan, Luke, Reid & I feel about Derek's current work schedule:
5pm- 7am, (get home after bike ride at 8am) sleep 9:30 am-4:30 pm, go back to work

You can see here that Luke's stern expression was for real. Reid was in a good mood, but the photographer told him to pose like a "shy boy", and he took his role very seriously.

The family fund Proposal

I would like to propose that for the next three years, we focus our family fund into the BDSRA organization. I would like to think we as a family shoulf be able to raise at least $1000 a year for the next three years to fund Batten support and research. I am going to establish an annual Tyson and Timothy Weaver Memorial Fund and reach out to our expanded family and friends. I would like all of you to consider reaching out as well and promote contributions to this fund. I think it is a great chance for you to teach yourself and your kids the key to contributing and raising money for a cause. I am really struggling with promoting this organization when even the families most affected do not contribute much. What are your thoughts. Remember any amount is of value. dad

Triple ByPass!

Believe it or not, I wanted to do that crazy 120 mile ride from Evergreen to Avon again this year. This time I recruited Derek to do it with me! It was great! We made it into a kind of vacation by getting babysitting for our kids and then having Alyson and Britt drop us off in Evergreen, meet us in Idaho Springs after our 1st ascent and 1st descent (while we were still somewhat fresh) and then they went off to Vail and rode their bikes along the beautiful trails there while Derek and I suffered over 2 more 10,000+ ft. mountain passes. We met up with them again after being completely punished and jetted off to the SPA for some massages! It was a great day! We went out to dinner that night at the top of Vail ski resort and then slept in (no kids) and went off to the Vail branch for a Spanglish sacrament meeting. We then had some great pizza in Vail Village before heading home. It was great! We love having the MicroWeaver's here with us. We wished that all of you could have been here as well. Derek and I talked a lot on our ride and both of us said how great it would have been to have Tyson and Timmy up there riding with us. We're sure they were watching. We're also sure that in the Celestial Kingdom we can have rides just like that one, only it's all downhill!

Adin's 1 Month Late Birthday!

We finally celebrated Adin's Birthday! Only a month and a half late (we did have a family party on his real birthday).

Swimming

Here are some great pics of our kids swimming!

Only Child?

Connor has been the only child around here for the past couple of days. He became very bored however without his younger siblings and so he spent some time taking pictures of himself. Here are some of my favorites.
