Participants...

Okay so far I have the following people who plan to participate....
1. Adam 2. Cami 3. Jason 4. Shelby 5. Hannah 6. Brittany 7. Ethan 8. Grandma
9. Grandpa 10. Connor 11. Preston 12. Alyson 13. Dan 14. Derek

Connor, Shelby would like to personally challenge you to this! Are you up for it?

We will have an adult group and a cousin group.
Please list the amount of money you are willing to give...
Adam: $100.00
Alyson: $100.00
Cami: $100.00
Jason: $50.00 (wimp!)
Derek: $50.00
Britt: $50.00
Grandpa: $100.00
Grandma: $100.00
Dan: $50.00

Connor: $25.00
Preston: $25.00
Shelby: $25.00
Hannah: $25.00
Ethan: $25.00

There seems to be some confusion regarding the rules of the challenge! The winner is the person with the highest number of points at the end of the challenge. Every Monday I will post a chart on the blog where you can record your points for the week. Weight loss is merely a positive side effect of the challenge and has nothing to do with the winner!

A challenge...

A group of women from my ward and I just completed a four week health challenge. It was a great motivator to get ourselves ready for summer and the less clothing that comes with it. It was an awesome experience and the competition side of it helped us all stay on track. It was all about making healthy lifestyle choices that help us feel and look better. The best part of it was that I lost 6 pounds and feel much better about putting on a bathing suit. I know that the greater majority of this family is currently undergoing rigorous training for future events and that means you are pretty well focused on healthy habits already...Great! But, some others of us could use a little healthy competition to keep us focused and on track. Who better to offer a competition to than a group of Weaver's, right...So with that said, is anyone up to a family health challenge? I have e-mailed the rules of the challenge and a chart to keep track of your progress to each family. Read through the info and let me know if you are up to it. Kids are welcome to participate.

I'd like to start this competition on Monday June 1st and continue until the family reunion where we can celebrate, together, our success. I'd also like to suggest some incentives...PRIZES!!! Lets make suggestions and decide on a prize for the winner. I would like to suggest an entrance fee of an amount of money that each individual feels comfortable with. I'd be willing to pay $100.00 of my own cash to start the prize money pot. Everyone who commits to take the challenge offers a disclosed amount of cash to the pot and the winning adult and the winning child takes all. Yes, I know that this sounds a little like gambling, but I did just return from a weekend in Vegas. Just Kidding, really! This is just an idea...and one that works to motivate me. Make your own suggestions and we will vote.

my new best friend

Absolutely amazing. We did the first dive in totally open water. Absolutely nothing to see except miles of ocean and the bottom barley visible about 70 feet below our 60 depth. We could see snapper spawning below us and we did see one hawk billed turtle, but other than that it seemed just totally remote and not likely you would see anything. 2nd dive a few more snapper, and even more blue ocean, the vis was about 100 feet. All of a sudden the dive master started hitting his tank and pointing, I though he was trying to get us to catch up. He went nuts and I looked behind to see if someone was in trouble or something and at my feet was the whale shark. about 25 feet long and a mouth at least 10 feet across. I rolled to my back and it literally swam up my torso touching me along my whole body. It is against the law to touch them so I just lay there and it swam over me and turned around and came at me again. It was unbelievable. It then went toward the woman in our group and she swam away as fast as she could go. It chased her all the way to the surface. She obviously violated her rise rate. It then came back around all of us and swam around us for at least ten minutes before swimming away. Absolutely unreal. It was huge. The dive master said he had never seen one hang around and that most people simply got to see one swim by in the distance. He was blown away at how long it stayed with us. Happy Mother's Day!

Mom, I hope that you are having a great time in Belize! I wish that I could wish you a Happy Mother's Day in person, but I'll have to wait until you get home. I love you very much! You've done so much for me that it's incredible. Thanks for being a great GrandMom as well!

Happy Mother's day

This is what mother's day is all about.

Flower's from Holland for the three greatest mothers

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY from Belize.  This is the first mother's day we have missed for a long time.  I guess someone in Belize will cook for Nori.  Unfortunately we will not be there to wish three of the world's greatest moms a happy day.
I want each of you, Cami, Alyson and Brit to know how much I love you and respect your efforts to be good mothers.  You all do a wonderful job and I know you truly love the kids.  You have the world's most difficult task and the most important assignment from our Heavenly Father.  I am very proud of each of you and want to thank you for being good mothers.
I know Nori feels the same way.  you are great!!!  Now I hope your husbands treat you right for the day and cook some exotic meal.  Perhaps apple stuffed pork chops.  smile
