One More Thing to Add to the Schedule
I would like to get Timmy's temple work done some time after his anniversary.

Scheduling!
Hey everyone, we are trying to organize our schedule and are worried about getting everthing in. We need to know some things and you probably need to know some things from us. We won't bore you with some of our travels, but we are going to Derek's graduation arriving in Lansing on May 2nd, and flying out of Lansing on May 4th. Everyone (Cami and Jason, me, Alyson, Connor, Dad, Mom, Derek, Britt) are doing the Bolder Boulder on May 28th (do the Pelican Fest Sprint Triathlon with me the Saturday before if you want). On July 14th Derek and I are doing the Triple Bypass ride from Evergreen to Avon, Colorado. We need to know when Hannah's baptism is? Preston will be baptized on Saturday, July 28th. Connor will likely be ordained a deacon on his birthday Friday, Sept. 21st because we're going to Guatemala on the 22nd. I'm taking Dad, Connor, and Connor's grandfather to the priesthood session in Salt Lake on the 1st weekend of October. Let us know some of your plans as well so that we can get this year planned out.
Greetings from the desert!
He was thrilled to get the pirate set in the mail-- thanks Alyson! When I got home from AZ, Ethan and Reid had set up their "pirate cove" in the corner of the play room. They loved it!
Derek takes boards Tuesday, we work on our house on Lansing Wednesday and list it for sale, and then just sit tight until 3/15, when we'll know our fate!

Adin's Specs

Adin got his glasses today. He looks sharp! The problem is that he doesn't understand that he actually has to wear them. They were brand new for about 5 minutes. He kept taking them off in the car ride home from getting them and when told to put them back on he threw them to the back of the car and chipped both lenses. He says he likes them most in their case. This will be a trying experience! My bet is about a new pair of glasses per month for Adin!
Winter Break 2007

Well, we had a great trip to Vail this year! Connor is now a pro snowboarder, we nicknamed Preston "Speedy Gonzalez" for his extremely fast descents down the mountain, Adin improved a ton in ski school, and Mia did great in the nursery and will do her 1st year of ski school next year. Here are the pics.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALYSON!
Spending the day on the ski slopes should be a good way to celebrate your birthday but, knowing you the way I do I would think a day in the SPA would be preferable.
Hope is is great! Love you!

VAIL!
Hey everyone! We're in Vail skiing. We got up here yesterday and have skiied the last two days. We're going to ski again tomorrow, take a Sunday break and then ski again on Monday. We'll post some pics then. We sure wish you were all with us! The snow is great, but that's good and bad. It's been snowing the whole time we've been here. Today, the wind made it a little blizzard like, but we skied anyway. We're most proud of Adin! He's doing ski school and is doing great and Mia loves the daycare.

Our Winter

Our snow is finally starting to melt! We've actually had a week of melting. Adin was so anxious to get out that he went for a bike ride even with all the snow! The other picture is of Mia sleeping in bed with his brother. She had a meltdown tonight and wouldn't sleep in her bed, but was very ready to sleep with Adin. I don't think there is much sleeping happening.

Call For Photos
I'm getting a head start on the Weaver Family Calendar 2007, so I'm requesting 5-10 photos (more if you'd like) from each family for each month-- December '06 and January '07. Please email them to me because the resolution decreases when posted on the Blog. Thanks!
A Lesson on Role Models
This morning as I was folding laundry, Ethan came in and asked to watch cartoons. I said yes, and when he turned on the TV, there was some talk show with former Miss USAs or Miss Americas (they're all the same to me) debating whether Tara Connor should have lost her crown due to the recent scandal, claiming they were REAL role models and she has disgraced them and their titles. (Admittedly) I told Ethan not to change the channel, and of course he got impatient, and then he pulled out the big guns: he said, "Mom, this is TOO SEXY!" and took the remote from me and changed the channel. True to form, these "ROLE MODELS" were only outdoing each other in the amount of cleavage they were revealing. I'm glad my 5-year-old knows how to spot the OPPOSITE of a role model when he sees one (not to mention giving my conscience a little nudge.) :)

A Saturday of Swimming

I'm blogging as Alyson, but this is really Adam. I want to thank Mom and Dad for spending many a Saturday at wrestling meets with me and Derek and Tyson. What an ordeal. Now, imagine being in a 100% humidity environment for an entire Saturday. That's what we did today. Preston had his 1st ever swim meet! We were so proud of him! He put forth a great effort! He made me laugh out loud. He started out very strong on his 25 freestyle and was right up there with the rest of the field until he needed to breathe. He suddenly stopped his stroke, had his left arm straight out in front of him and took three long breaths before starting back on his stroke. I was perplexed. When he got out of the water with a huge grin, we all gave him hugs, told him how proud we were of him, etc. When we were talking a little later I said, "Preston, why did you take those breaths during your swim?" He said, "Dad, you told me to take only a few breaths during the race, I only took three!" I said, "Preston, you took 3 breaths, 3 times during the race." He said, "Dad, 3 breaths is like this (he then showed me how to breathe in and out 3 times), that's what I did!" Boy, was I dumb! He also did the 25 backstroke, and the 25 breast stroke. He came out smiling on every one of them. His smile faded quickly when he was disqualified in his breast stroke because he did a flutter kick, but he bounced back quickly. Connor then did great in his 2 events, the 50 free and the 100 back. Connor reminded me of myself when he started crying due to anxiety prior to his first event. Connor took 3rd and 2nd respectively. I still don't want to do this every Saturday, but I have to believe it is good for kids to compete like this. They both want to do it again ASAP and they both are improving every time.
Cami, we started our fast for your family and Alec. Our thoughts and prayers are truly with you!
We Love You!

DUH!
This is a practice run for me because this change-over on the blog has not been working for me. I think I may finally have it figured out. We'll see!
