Trying something new!!!

Okay, so I found this free website for digital scrap booking and I'd thought I'd give it a try. This was Alec's first day of pre-school this year! This page is a little busy, but it was fun and easy to do. What do you think if I spice up my blog entries???

Finally! School started here, too

At long last, the summer is over. And not a moment too soon. The boys were more excited than I was.
We have a new neighborhood school, which is awesome! Ethan rides his bike, hence his helmet. Reid walks with me and the half dozen other kindergartners on our block.

Sleeping with old men

Mom took this shot several weeks ago when Luke spent the night.  Because of the size of the old man, you can not see that he is on the very edge of the bed.  I did not know she had snapped the photo.  That is what is called a snug fit.

A day with the old folks

Kings of the mountain!!!!  Don't tell mom it was dangerous!!
walking back to the truck, oh yeah, riding back to the truck!!!
Maybe there is some advantage to living close to the old folks.  We know that was a concern of Derek's, but when we brought the Weaver boys home late last night, it was all worth it to us when Reed said, "This was the best day ever."
Of course it started out in wind and rain and the boys wanting go home immediately, but after a great meal of smoked hot dogs and chips, we had a hard time getting them to stop exploring one more pile of rocks.  A good day!!!

Happy Birthday, Alec!

We love you so much, Alec! Actually, just the other day, Luke even said he wants to marry you, he likes you that much. Too bad you're first cousins. And a boy. (despite what your sisters may try to brainwash you to believe.)

We hope your 4th birthday is awesome!!!

Its My Party and I'll Cry...

Birthday number four was a little over-whelming for the littlest Richards'. Its was all fun and games until we needed to take pictures. It just stinks to have a Sunday birthday and Alec wanted all the people who came for our "family Bar-B-Q slash birthday party" to just GO HOME! He is not much of a social child is he!? Luckily we've all had four year olds and everyone laughed it off. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LITTLE BUDDY!!!!

Richards' First Day of School

Grandpa Fred gave specific instructions for me to make sure we posted a picture of this blessed event...The First Day of School. The girls were so excited that they were almost giddy. The morning was a bit of an adventure between losing Alec at the school and finding out that Hannah was assigned a different track and schedule than every one else, but we made it. All worked out and YEAH they are gone.

School Started!

All the kids started school this week, even our little Mia. Here they are on their first day.

Count Your Many Blessings

I know we haven't told any of you this, but we've been a little nervous about Mia lately. She's been going to the potty about a million times a day lately and drinking a lot of water. We were worried that she has diabetes. So, today Alyson took her into the doctor and found out that we had nothing to worry about. Good news is always great. It's nice to have little blessings.

Some Bear Lake Pics

It was a great fam reunion, but we missed Connor. Here are a few pics.

Mia!

So, Alyson and I were leaving late Friday to go to Utah for a triathlon (I took 1st in my age group and 5th overall) and we were kissing the kids good-bye when Mia says, "Hey Mom, can I be in charge?" As if she's not already in charge. It was so funny we laughed about it that whole night.
