Joe's new vocabulary

Lately Joe is reminding us all to think before we speak, as he parrots everything we say. Tonight Derek and I were debating about what kind of car to buy and he said something negative about a "GERMAN car". Joey pipes up from the backseat "Don't say JERK!" (That word has become one of his favorites, undoubtedly learned from his brothers. He's been known to say "Mo-om, Jane's bein' jerk!")

The other night we watched an XMen movie with the kids. Someone in the movie said "Bull----", and then there was silence. So of course, Joe repeated it, clear as day. All of the rest of us looked around at each other with big eyes, trying not to laugh. And then, with impeccable timing, Joey said "Awkward!" We all busted up. He is the star of the show and he knows it.

The Pose

Preston is getting used to this pose. He hasn't lost a match in middle school this year and only lost one all of last year. He won two this week alone. He takes after his grandpa!

This was the first time I had seen these pictures so I thought I'd throw it up here! Good looking group...and Derek isn't too bad either.

I've been in surgery all day and should have called this morning. Now it's 1:40am in Turkey on the 23rd! I love you Mom and I'm so proud of what you're doing right now!

New Year's 2013

Here are some pictures of our New Year's. We had a little over 50 people over and the hit was the Karoke machine (if anyone could pull Alyson away from it) and the chocolate fondue! Mia and her friend got to do a little Taylor Swift on New Year's day and they all got to dive into the chocolate that day as well.

I just learned through familysearch.org that Alyson and I are related. Our Great, great, great, great grandfather Edward Weaver who was married to Martha Raymer (Raimer)is ALSO her great, great, great grandfather on her mother's side! Wow! That's TMI!

Christmas Eve

Here are a few pictures from our Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures on our "Journey" because our camera flash wasn't working. It was a great evening! The snow started coming down on our walk and we ended up with a white Christmas.
