Happy Late birthday

Well, I noticed that on the spilled milk blog there was recognition of the hardest working (not counting ironman workouts), real on the clock work, person in the entire family. Good old Dr. Derek. Happy Birthday to my third son. I am so proud of all you do and I admire your tenacity. I have so many good memories of you and your special personality. We love you and hate to see you get so old. Love dad

Mom's, try this...it'll blow your mind!!!

Preheat oven to 400. In a large bowl, combine 1 boxed devil's food cake with 1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin. Mix well; scoop batter into 12-well muffin pan lined with baking papers. Bake 20 mins. Enjoy. Half the Cals. half the fat, half the WW points...full flavor...honest!

My Dad saw this statue in the Salt Lake City Cemetery a few weeks ago and took these photos for our family, thinking of Tyson and Timmy.

The inscription reads:

In memory of those
who walk more closely
in the hands of God

And who more humbly
lift the world
inspiring the hearts of men.

With their legacy complete
in love, they return
home again to God

To behold His face
and be wholly healed
in joy forever more.

I'm pretty sure he'd like this one, too.

As a matter of fact, there are quite a few funny M&M commercials on YouTube, if you need a good laugh. On a day like this, I don't know really what we're supposed to do, but I think Tyson wouldn't mind seeing us sitting around, eating M&Ms and laughing.

Today's Adventure.... DA TA DA DA!!!

I have personally tried two or three times to teach Paige how to ride her two wheeler, but lets just say that patience does not run in my family...! I had her almost taught, but she was frightened of the bike she was riding... she thought it was too big. She wanted me to remove the training wheels from Alec's much smaller bike so she could use it. Due to the pain it is to remove and replace (continually) training wheels, I refused and told her to deal with it. Today her more patient, (and much kinder) father took her out, took the training wheels off from Alec's bike and off she rode...like the pro I already knew she was (due, of course, to my own previous pain and suffering). Of course Jason thinks he is just the best teacher ever to find such rapid success. I am just proud of Paige. A monumental accomplishment for a child!

GO PAIGEEEEE!!!
