Boy, 4 months of work and finally it is almost over. Almost because mom still has items to put away and we still have the scenery in the garage and will eventually have to do something with it. Nevertheless, we were glad to have everyone except the Richards in attendance. I think it was a good party, I was just too tired to really enjoy the whole evert. Dan was excellent as the Roman and the kids look good in cloth.
We had over 500 people sign the census. What a crowd in the city of David.

Way to go! It was a fantastic event... we had a great time!
it was a fantastic event. i was having a very bad day then the snow and bad weather hit and the kids were fighting and basically everything said, "don't go up there," but we did and it was great. the ride home was terrible, but we made it. it's too bad we couldn't have stayed over night, but having a deacon-aged kid has changed any and all freadom's that we once enjoyed.
Looks really fun and really extravegant. What did Dan's part as the Roman involve. He looked great! A little too much leg, however in that picture;). How did you get everyone to fit in your gym? 500 people, wow. And, did the birthday boy have a good time? Sorry we missed it!
Dan's job was to guard the gate to the city. Then at the beginning of the program he bellowed "Hear ye, hear ye, gather your families and give heed to the words that are said".
The "too much leg" part was because he forgot to bring shorts like I told him. We have had nothing but very positive feedback. Dad is still trying to decide if it was worth it. I definetly think it was. P.S. sitting on blankets on the floor gives you a lot more room.
