Paige would like me to share that she is about to start her orthodontic treatments, phase one.
She had small rubber spacers placed between her molars to prepare them for metal rings which will be attached to a permanent retainer in 2 weeks. She was so excited at the orthodontist today and even insisted that she have her braces put on today. However, the pain in her mouth has made the idea a little less appealing this evening. The retainer is to be placed to expand her jaw by 13 millimeters, the amount of space needed to fit her teeth into her currently tiny mouth...ouch. Little does she know how fun this will be! Phase one will cost $2480 with half of that being out-of-pocket. Who knows how many phases this will be, in the end or how much it will cost in all! HMMMM! Hannah will start treatment in 12-18 months. Shelby will be assessed nest week.

I know you don't want to hear this, but that's pretty cheap. Around here, you can't get braces on for under $5000 so be grateful. I should have been an orthodontist!
Remind me agian about why we all had children???
Just kidding, they're so worth it all! Life in you sixties just looking at each other day after day is really quite dull, not that there are not other stressors that drive you crazy.
P.S. Note to Adam.........that's just phase 1 for one kid! $$$$
I know it's only phase I. Phase I ortho is $5000/kid. I go through this everyday.
I don't envy you, Paige! But you will thank your parents!!! What an awesome gift!
I remember getting my braces off and wanting them back on because I thought my teeth looked so big, I looked like John Elway.
