Our journey home....

Our last day on Belanger Lane.... The move from Michigan back to home sweet home Colorado went better than we could have asked for. We had several friends help with cleaning, bringing us food, and loading the truck... Fred and Nori especially did so much work, from coming to help us load and clean to driving cross-country with us to helping us move in.... we are very grateful.

Once the truck was loaded, and picked up, we made our way down to Lansing, where it was time to celebrate Derek's hard work over the past 4 years! It was wonderful to drive in to Lansing and not have to worry about what home improvements needed to be done at our house... it was such a blessing that we sold it when we did-- it couldn't have worked out better!

The kids did pretty well during graduation, only getting a little restless :)

We were so grateful to have Fred and Nori, Randy and Nancy, Adam and Alyson, and Cami make the trek out to Lansing to attend Derek's graduation. It was such a great event and having family to celebrate with made it even better!!!

Papa Randy and Grandma Nancy were so kind to take Ethan, Reid and Luke home on the airplane so they didn't have to endure the cross-country journey in the car. Plus, they got a mini-vacation in Chicago, going to the Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile.... Derek and I haven't even done that yet!

You can never have too many bear skin rugs!!!

The highlight of the cross-country trip was a stop at IKEA to stock up on some home organizing/ decorating items. We spent close to 3 hours there-- it is such a fun store-- even Fred enjoyed shopping! We ate dinner there too-- swedish meat balls-- yum!

Pledging allegiance/ saluting IKEA!

Can you tell we were actually having fun on our roadtrip? It's really not bad when you're not jumping over the seat to distribute snacks, clean messes, change DVDs, and mediate arguments.

Derek just couldn't get over the fact that he is now a DOCTOR! :) ha ha ha

And so now we are back! It is wonderful to be back near the mountains and under the big blue sky, with sunshine almost every day!
Thanks to Fred & Nori's neighbors for all their fun back yard toys....
The kids are thrilled to be near cousins again!

Getting ready to leave for Father & Son's Camp out! (Papa Fred not pictured)

We are so glad to have you all back in Colorado! Road trips are great (well sorta) without kids! Oh how I remember the day we left Wisconsin it was so sad and the trip was so long with kids crying the whole way! Glad your back!
